Jan-Michael Sacharko (he/him/his) began tutoring Calculus and upper-level math while he was an undergraduate pursuing a degree in mathematics at Georgetown University in 1997. The GU Mathematics Department did not have Teaching Assistants (TAs) so they hired students to work at their drop-in tutor center. Jan was hired as a freshman and grew to love teaching his fellow students about calculus and how to succeed in class. He continued to work at this center throughout college and an additional year while serving in AmeriCorps in DC.

Fast forward to 2026: after working in the nonprofit sector for 25 years, Jan has returned to tutoring mathematics. He lives in Arlington and is ready to help you or your child succeed in mathematics!
